How do I arrange a pre-purchase vehicle inspection in Newcastle?
Our pre-purchase inspections are straightforward. Here’s what to expect:
Step 1: Contact the seller
If you’ve found a car you’re interested in, we recommend you first have a chat with the seller to get some details. You can ask them things like: where are they located? is the car make and model what you believe it to be? Are they ok with you arranging a pre-purchase inspection?
Usually, sellers are happy for an inspection to be arranged. If they’re selling their car, it often means they’re also buying one – they can appreciate the need to be sure of what you’re purchasing.
Step 2: Complete our online booking form
If the seller is happy with the inspection going ahead, fill out our online booking form and we’ll give you a call to discuss. We then contact the seller to book a suitable time to carry out the inspection. We’ll notify you once we’ve booked the inspection.
Step 3: Pay to secure the pre-purchase inspection
Payment will need to be made before the inspection goes ahead. The inspection is normally done the same day or within 24 hours of the booking being made – this is dependent on the seller’s availability.
Payment will be refunded if you cancel 24hrs before the time of inspection. Please note we generally can book an inspection on the same day, or within 24hrs. If you’d like an inspection booked on a certain day, let us know and we’ll negotiate this with the seller. Payment is also refunded if the car sells before the inspection, or if the seller cancels the inspection.
Step 4: Relax! We’ll take care of the rest.
Our expert mechanics will complete a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle. You will be emailed an easy-to-read condition report the same day. If you requested to receive a follow-up phone call, our mechanic will contact you to discuss the report and answers any questions.
