How is a pre-purchase vehicle inspection carried out?
Your pre-purchase car inspection starts with one of our fully qualified mechanics arriving at the seller’s preferred location. This could be their home, work, car yard, auction house, or dealership. There’s no need for you to be onsite. However, you’re more than welcome to attend if you wish.
Once onsite, our mechanic will jack up the car and go through their detailed checklist. We also conduct a road test, computerised diagnostic check, and review the logbook history and general condition of the car. The findings from this inspection then are logged as a detailed report in our system, which you’ll receive shortly after.
Upon leaving the inspection, the mechanic can give you a brief call to discuss their findings. This may assist you to make a quick decision about whether to buy the vehicle or move on to another. Let us know at the time of booking if you would like a follow-up phone call.
Pre-loved cars generally come with a few faults.
It’s important to know about them before buying the car.
