Our Newcastle Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspections Include The Following Checks

Engine; Oiling system, cooling system, engine mounts and auxiliary items such as the belts, pulleys and accessories are visually checked for leaks and or excessive wear and tear
Drivetrain; Gearbox, transfer case, selectable 4WD system, tail- shaft/s and differential are visually checked for leaks and or excessive wear and tear
Brake system; The braking system is visually checked for leaks and or excessive wear and tear (Please note, this does not take into consideration the pad or shoe material remaining or disk or drum wear) as this is considered a ‘serviceable item’
Steering and suspension; Linkages, steering rack/box, bushings, springs and shock absorbers are visually checked for leaks and or excessive wear and tear
Battery and charging system; Battery and the alternator’s health and performance are checked via specialised test equipment
Exterior; Lights, mirrors and wiper operation are checked. Mirrors, lights and windscreen/s are checked for cracks or large stone chips
Accident damage; Rust/corrosion and dodgy repair jobs are visually checked for
Undercarriage; Accident damage, rust, dodgy repairs or heavy ground contact is visually checked for
Air conditioning; The air conditioning system is checked for efficiency (Function and temperature checked only)
Interior and cargo area; Is checked for water leaks, faulty electric units such as mirrors, seats switches/dials, etc (A optional condition report is available to be purchased for vehicles bought sight unseen)
Computerised onboard diagnostic check; The vehicle’s onboard diagnostic systems are accessed to check if any fault codes are logged (Pre 2000 vehicles may not have this function)
Road test; The vehicle is driven for approximately 15 minutes ‘under varied conditions’ to help locate any issues or faults (Vehicle will not be driven on motorways or freeways)
Tyre condition; All tyres and the spare are visually checked for wear, damage and poor alignment. The amount of tread remaining will be noted within the report
Report; A detailed report will be provided to the prospective buyer following the inspection
50+ high-resolution images for interstate or ‘sight unseen buyers’ (Upon request)
